In this book, core ideas of microbiology were presented through 3 connected themes: pathogens, immunity, and industrial applications. Microbial structure, growth, and transmission were explained, and major bacterial, viral, fungal, and parasitic pathogens were described with a focus on disease mechanisms, diagnosis, and control. Host immune responses were outlined from innate defenses to adaptive immunity, including vaccination, immune memory, and antimicrobial resistance challenges. Industrial and applied microbiology was then covered through fermentation, enzyme production, food safety, pharmaceutical manufacturing, probiotics, wastewater treatment, and bio quality control. A clear bridge was provided between clinical microbiology and biotechnology, so that students, researchers, and industry professionals can be supported in learning and practice.
